Will of God

God’s will for the whole human race: God wants all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:4.

God’s will for Believers

For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day. John 6:40

So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is Ephesians 5:17.

It’s God’s will for believers to sacrifice and suffer as we change our way of thinking to align with God our only Father. Believers no longer belong to their spouse, mother, father or even themselves. We have been purchased by Christ Jesus.

For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God’s will, than for doing evil.  1 Peter 3:17

Our suffering servant and example Isaiah 53:3
Jesus said whoever does the will of God, he is my brother and sister and mother. Mark 3:35

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonian 5:18

We know to thank God for the good in our life. While it may be difficult, it’s just as important that we thank God in the midst of our sufferings. Its part of His plan for your maturity. If you havent or not willing to suffer for righteousness perhaps you’re none of His.

Ask God everyday to direct your steps
Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground Psalm 143:10.

This world is full of idols and many give their love and devotion to money, family, celebrations or anything they consider #1. They are walking blindly after the wantings of their hearts. They haven’t taken time to know Jesus, they have neglected reading the bible and spending time with Jesus. It is the will of God for all men to know Him.

So, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Colossians 1:9 

Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work”. John 4:34

Both Know and Do the Will of God

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2

No longer live the rest of your time in the flesh for human passions but for the will of God 1 Peter 4:2.

Only by removing yourself from the patterns of this world and knowing the word of God can we discern the will of God.  

If anyone’s will is to do God’s will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority John 7:17.

Rewards
You have a need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised Hebrews 10:36.

Prayer
May God equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen Hebrews 13:2.

This is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us 1 John 5:14.
