Put on The New Man

As long as we are in these bodies the old man, with its desires, has a chance to dominate you. That’s why we are tolds to put to death the will of your flesh. We must consider our old selves dead to sin and put on the new man which is created in Jesus Christ after His likeness. Less of you and more of Him. If you “live according to the flesh set you set your mind on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit” Romans 8:5. The battle began when you were born again, if you ignore it you are giving Satan the victory over your life and you are not living for God or His will.

Colossians 3:9-10
Do not lie to one another, since you put off your old man with its evil practices, and have put on the new man who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

Ephesians 4:22-24
Put off your old self, which belongs to your former way of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires. Be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new man, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

Romans 6:6
Knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with. So that we would no longer be slaves to sin;

2 Peter 1:5-9
Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge, and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness, and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love.

1 Timothy 4:7
Have nothing to do with silly myths or worldly fables fit only for old women. On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness;

Put On the New Man and Confirm Your Calling

Galatians 5:16-18
But, I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh. These are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.

Galatians 5:25
If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.

James 2:18
“Someone may say, “You claim to have faith and I have good works. Show me your faith without the works if you can, and I will show you my faith by my works. That is, by what I do for Jesus.”

 1 Peter 2:1
Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander,

1 Peter 1:14
As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance,

1 Peter 2:24
He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.

1 John 1:6-7
If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. If we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Hebrews 5:14
But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.
