Is Unconditional Love Biblical?

Unconditional love is not from God but from Satan who has spread it throughout the world, even the evangelical church. You only need to look around and see what it has produced. Agape or true love is a love that sacrifices itself for others. If God’s love was unconditional He would have said so. It’s only 2 words, and much time could have been saved.

The Cross

Jesus displayed God’s sacrificial love on the cross. Believers are called to “be living sacrificesRomans 12:2. In these  final days the enemy of God has spread a multitude of lies and deceit to bring as many as he can to hell.

Is this unconditional or blind?

Is Agape Blind ?

Another lie being spread is that love is blind. God is love and God is not blind. If God’s love was blind or unconditional? Don’t you think the scriptures would say so? The bible is the Book of God’s love for mankind, it’s a love story. If God’s love was unconditional or blind; there would be no need for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ as payment for the sins of the world. If God’s love was unconditional or blind there would be no need for hell and eternal damnation. If God’s love was unconditional then why repent, submit, or be transformed. Today’s church is in apostate where they love evil and sin more than they love righteousness and truth. God does not change, man does Hebrews 13:8.

Truth of Love

Unconditional love does not mean that God loves everything we do, but rather His love is so intense that He loves every sinner, no matter how vile and despicable he or she may be in the eyes of humanity, so much that He provides a way for them to find God’s love, life, and holiness through faith in Jesus Christ John 3:16. In John 3:18 He says if we choose wrong we go to hell. It’s a choice of the heart that everyone must make for themselves. God knows the heart.

If God’s love was unconditional then why does He say conditions?

There are many examples of conditions that can be found throughout the Bible. This means that He does not tolerate sins, wickedness, disobedience, and hostility toward Him. We must remember that God is Sovereign, Righteous, Holy and Love. These are a few of well over hundred verses about the love of God with conditions. As John 3:16-18 says God loves everyone even those He sends to Hell.

Jesus warned us because He Loves Everyone

John 3:36
He who believes in the Son has eternal life. He who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

Matthew 6:14-15
For if you forgive men for their sins, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men for their sins, neither will your Father forgive your sins.

Romans 1:18
The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth through unrighteousness.

Psalms 5:5
Those who boast will not stand in Your sight; You hate all workers of iniquity.

Revelations 21:8
But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.

Matthew 25:41
Then he will say to those on his left, “Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.”

Jesus tells us Love is Not Blind or Unconditional

If love was blind or conditional Jesus would not have said there are more people going to hell than heaven. Jesus Himself says clearly: “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are fewMatthew 7:13–14.

Jesus knows that many wi

ll choose the wide gate and the broad way that leads to destruction and hell. Correspondingly, He said that only a few will choose the narrow gate. According to Matthew 7:13–14, there is no doubt that more will go to hell than to heaven. The only question is, then, on which road are you?

Many will seek to enter that narrow door, the door of salvation, but “will not be able.” They are unwilling to trust/rely on Jesus alone. They are unwilling to pay the price. It costs too much for them to give up the world. God’s gate is a gate through which one cannot carry the baggage of sin and self-will, nor can you carry material wealth. The way of Christ is the way of the cross, and the way of the cross is the way of self-denial. Jesus said, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save itLuke 9:23–24.
