Is Homosexuality or Transgenderism a Sin

In this tolerance saturated world, the subject of homosexuality makes many Christians confused and silent. We are living in the last days. If the subject makes you uneasy, that will be on you. Long ago the bible warned us of these times. I do not want you confused as to where God and His people stand on homosexuality. God is holy, God is truth, God is righteous.

Transgenders, homosexuals, or even effeminate men are all sins, just as much as fornication. Homosexuality is a sin that God singles out as an abomination, and I’m sure the transgender community would be included also, if it existed in ancient times (Leviticus 20:13). The scriptures from Genesis to Revelations, homosexuality is a choice to sin. It is the fault of the sinner and those who practice such sins “they will not inherit the Kingdom of God” (Leviticus 18:22; Genesis 19:1–13; Romans 1:26–27; 1 Corinthians 6:9; 1 Timothy 1:10). Do not be deceived by today’s worldly moral values. God is not swayed, nor does He change (Malachi 3:6).

Jesus was Crucified; How Can You Continue to Sin?

Listen and you will hear them identify themselves as homosexual or transgender or binary. Those are the same sins Jesus was crucified for. You cannot continue to define yourselves by the very sins that crucified Jesus—and at the same time assume you are right with God. Those that do are in effect saying God made a mistake, and He is a liar.

In the eyes of God, effeminate men are sinners as well. Effeminate men would be those who intentionally act as a woman or dress as a woman or women who think they are a man. Deuteronomy 22:5 says “A woman who dresses as a man or a man dressing as a woman is an abomination.” Some may find effeminate men or a man wearing women’s garments humorous. It is not funny, sin is never funny. We are to love them as we love any sinner and let our light shine so that perhaps they will repent. We are also called to be holy and separate from those that choose to walk in unrighteousness Ephesians 5:7

Choose the Truth of God – Not the doctrine of Men

Today’s new wave thinking says that being homosexual is not a choice, it declares that they are born that way. Truth is, it is not genetic, like the color of your skin or your height. There was a Connecticut doctor who said he discovered a homosexual gene. Scientists quickly discovered that to be false. In reality, the doctor himself was a closet homosexual.  There are many that will deceive and blind you to the truth of God.

Any and All Sin is a Choice

Being a homosexual is a choice. Apostle James tells us we sin after we are taken captive by our own lusts (thoughts) James 1:14. The F.B.I. says everything we do begins with a thought. A person may be born with a greater susceptibility to homosexuality, just as some people are born with a tendency to violence and other sins. That does not excuse the person’s choosing to sin by giving in to sinful desires. Just because a person is born with a greater susceptibility to fits of rage doesn’t make it right for him to give in to those desires. The same is true with a vulnerability to homosexuality. Resistance is not futile.

Those who practice such sins are forsaking the natural use of their God created bodies. For a man to despise his gender and identify as a woman, or for a woman to abandon her gender and present herself as a man, is wrong and sinful. It is a defiance of God’s design when He created male and female.

God Loves and Warns of the Consequences of Sin

Godly love or agape love does not tolerate sin in heaven. Before anyone goes to heaven or hell, they will be judged. The place God created for sinners is hell. People and some modern day believers will make excuses and exceptions for sin. God is clear He does not change and God is in charge of life and death of all men. He gives all men the will to choose life or death (Deuteronomy 30:19).

Romans 1:26–27 instructs us that homosexuality is a result of denying and disobeying God. When people continue in sin and unbelief, God “gives them over” to even more evil and perverted sin, showing them the futility and hopelessness of life separated from God. One of the fruits of disobedience toward God is homosexuality. (1 Corinthians 6:9) proclaims that those who practice homosexuality, and therefore violate God’s created order, are not saved.

People can not always control how or what they feel, but we can control what we do with those feelings (1 Peter 1:5–8). Believers have the responsibility to resist temptation (Ephesians 6:13). We must all be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Ephesians 4:23). All believers must “walk by the Spirit” so that we do not “satisfy the desires of the flesh” (Galatians 5:16).
