Is God Speaking

Is God speaking? Does God speak to us today? Do you hear Him? Scripture tells us; God is always speaking to all of mankind all the time ever since Adam was created. Is anyone listening?

Romans 1:20

God has spoken to and continues to speak to everyone living. He speaks to us through the perfection of His creation. He speaks through the symmetry of everything created from a microscopic single cell ameba to a supernova explosion. These and all of creation from beneath the earth to the end of the universe can only be interpreted as the handiwork of a supernatural being displaying His glory, wisdom, intelligence, and love of life.

God will, can, and has spoken to man in different ways. He walked with and spoke directly with Adam. God spoke to a prophet through a donkey Numbers 22:22. He communicates by using changes in the natural environment. Psalms 19:1-4. He speaks to us through dreams and visions Acts 2:17.

God is always speaking; is anyone listening?

God is actively speaking day and night to the entire world. He most definitely is talking to His children, the faithful believers. After receiving salvation, the most important duty of a believer is listening to the voice of God. It is the voice of our Eternal Father. The Spirit of God is our teacher, comforter, protector, our life force John 14:26. How can we not be attentive to His voice? Listening to your spouse, friends needs to be secondary to listening to God.
Most of us are able to hear different sounds. Listening is the ability to distinguish what sort they are, that requires training and experience. In the womb babies hear many sounds from the world. As the baby develops it learns to distinguish between the types of sounds. A babe becomes accustomed to the sounds most frequently heard, usually the mother. Believers coming to Christ as savior come as babes and must be fed “the milk of the word1 Peter 2:2. Unfortunately the church has long ago gone astray from instruction in the truth of Jesus Christ to teaching religion and their traditions Mark 7:7. Now, what is left of many churches, needs to be fed milk again. It is very late and even milk to some taste too strong to receive.
