I Never Knew You

At the final judgment, Jesus will reject many who called themselves Christians. Jesus will say to them, “Depart from Me I never knew you”.

Not His Sheep

These are phony Christians, hypocrites lurking among us Matthew 22:18; 23:27; 23:13,14. Some of them even had prophesied, cast out demons, and healed the sick in Jesus’ name. Jesus thoroughly rejects them as being not from His flock, not His disciple, not His follower, not in the family of God and not in Christ Eph 3:15. They did not know their own sinful hearts. Sounds like the condition of many today. I have some in my family who have sat in church for decades and have difficulty saying the name “Jesus” or “amen” Acts 4:12. You need to distance yourself from their influence; 1 Corinthians 15:33, Galatians 5:9. They want to have a part with Jesus, but they are not willing to have faith or surrender their lives to Him. They do not know Him at a spiritual level to gain salvation. Jesus knows all who are His John 10:3,4

Believe with Your Heart

But Paul says in Romans 10:13, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. ”Seems like a contradiction to Jesus telling those who healed the sick and cast out demons in His name “He never knew them”. It is not a contradiction. Paul says just a couple of verses earlier that by confessing with the mouth “Lord Jesus” meaning Jesus has authority in your life, and “believe with the heart that God has raised Him from the dead are saved Romans 10:9. Salvation is received when we admit to our sins and submit to Christ. His flock comprises of the faithful with heartfelt dependence on His Lordship.

Salvation

Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ alone, it is not a casual one time affair; it is a relational condition of our hearts. “You are saved if you keep in memory” the gospel; believing with the heart in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus 1 Corinthians 15:2.  It is a growing developing relationship as you get to know Him through His word, the Holy Scriptures Romans 12:2

Your relationship with Jesus Christ is the most important relationship you will ever have. It is a matter of life and death, “yours”. Jesus is not fooled or mocked. He knows the hearts and minds of all men. You may fool friends, family and those with worldly values; after all, the world is under the rule and guidance of Satan John 14:30. God knows the truth of our hearts. Everyone knows God loves them, but God is looking for those that love Him. If anyone loves God, he is known by God 1 Corinthians 8:3.

Today in our spiritually deprived generation, interlopers have slipped in and continue to fool many believers who lack knowledge of truth and spiritual discernment 1 Timothy 4:1-3. It has come to where church door closings are rapidly increasing, and will continue until the rapture. Make your salvation sure and continuously be on the lookout for the “Shout” of Christ, signaling the rapture 1 Thessalonian 4:16.

Faux Believers

Jesus knows the hearts of all men. At the judgment will you hear Jesus say “I never knew you, get away from Me”, I never made any account of you, as Mine, or belonging to Me. I never approved of you, nor your conduct. I never had any meanigful communication, nor social media interaction with you, nor you with me.

There are many who desire to be called, and accounted as believers. Those who make mention of the name of Christ only to take away their reproach. They want to gain credit with, and get the affections and goodwill of folks. However, they have no heart felt love toward Jesus Christ, no true faith in Him. They have no concern to advance His glory, and promote His kingdom. Their chief view is to please men, aggrandize themselves. No not any of these, no not any of them will enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
