Jesus is Close I wanted a website name with the name “Jesus” in it. Every name we came up with was taken mostly by profiteers holding the sitename for sale or rent. The truth of God is free, Jesus freely gave His life for us 1John 2:2. We will not turn the Word of God into a scheme for thievery or filthy gain Mat 21:13. “Yeshua is Here” is not affliated with any church or religious denomination. Here you will find the truth about Jesus, a revelation of His unchanging word Heb 13:8 and prophesy for this final generation. We encourage everyone to “prove all things” 1Thess 5:21, according to the truth of Gods word, the bible.
Ministry Statement
Jesusisclose.com is a ministry dedicated to building up the body of Christ through revealing the truth of the whole counsel of God. We believe the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, to be the authoritative, infallible, and inspired word of God 2 Timothy 3:16-17. We believe the Bible to be God-breathed, and complete.
We believe in one God, who is the creator of all things Colossians 1:16, and is three distinct Spirit Persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit 2 Corinthians 13:14. God is omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent, and unchanging Malachi 3:6. We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is God incarnate Titus 2:13. We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and was born of the Virgin Mary Isaiah 7:14.
We believe that Lord Jesus was crucified on the cross for the sins of the world 1 John 2:2 as a sacrifice for our sins Isaiah 53:5-6. We have salvation and eternal life by our faith in that fact; Jesus died for our sins and rose again on the third day according to the word of God 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. It is also our belief that Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God Hebrews 1:3.
We believe in the third person of the trinity, God the Holy Spirit Galatians 5:22,23; Acts 5:3-4. Holy Spirit lives in the believer Gal 4:6; John 14:16 He washes, renews and regenerates believers Titus 3:5. He is the Divine Teacher who illuminates believers’ hearts and minds as they study the Word of God 1 Corinthians 2:9-12.
Our faith is that salvation is received by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Good works and obedience are the results of salvation, not requirements for salvation Ephesians 2:8-10.

Lonnie Martin is a retired systems analyst who has studied the bible for over 50 years. Over a decade ago the Holy Spirit inspired him to prophetically teach and write weekly the truth about Jesus Christ. Lonnie holds the word of God as sacred and refuses to form his own opinions; what he doesn’t know, or understand, he leaves in the hands of God, trusting the Holy Spirit to reveal what He wants to reveal, when He wants to reveal it. He simply trusts in God and speaks of things the Lord has shown him and leaves questions to be answered when God wills. A true man of God faces reality, that is, he faces Jesus at all times, knowing that all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Him; he would never go outside of Jesus to find an answer to any question concerning God. His teaching is non-denominational and his audience is diverse. Lonnie has never had any formal bible training. It is through the Holy Spirit that he is able to reveal weekly the truth about Jesus. It is all done for the glory of Jesus Christ.
I write as I am inspired by “the Holy Spirit, who teaches us all things” John 14:26 . I study, write and publish to gain “God’s approval”, not mans. By striving to “rightly handle the word of God “2 Timothy 2:15, I hope the Lord says to me when I am judged “well done good and faithful servant” Matthew 25:21. I am a faithful Watchman. I stand on the shoulders of giants who walked before me, and taught the whole counsel of God, learning and maturing under a few faithful men of God.
