Are You Looking for the Rapture?

The rapture will not be like His second coming. His second coming will come with the heavens opening and the saints following Him Rev 19:11;14. Are you watching the world, seeing yourself part and parcel of it? If you are, you are looking in the wrong direction. Look up. The rapture will be a sudden event where Jesus will not be seen and but He will shout from above the earth; a shout only believers will hear, both dead and alive. “His sheep knows His voice” John 10:27, John 5:25. Then the believers who died in Christ and those of us who remain alive will be “caught up” to be with Him 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17.

Looking For Jesus?

Are you looking for Jesus to return? Are you expecting the rapture? What is your mindset? If you are paying too much attention and time to the world, politics, economy, sports or something else, then perhaps you want to check yourself, before it is too late. These days, the distractions can be overwhelming. They seem most important and everyone does it.

But God has called His children out of the world, purifying them, making them holy, set apart 2 Corinthians 6:17, Colossians 1:22. There is nothing in the world that is holy. Jesus does not want or deserve to be second in the life of anyone. He was crucified for us. Tolerance and approval are not the same, God is patient. His patience and tolerance is about through and the time of the antichrist is near 2 Thessalonians 2:7. Before the antichrist appears, Jesus comes to rapture those who are looking for Him.

Left behind

“She loved and longed for the world. As Lot and his family were being led out of Sodom by angels; They were told not to look back. While the twin cities were being destroyed by fire from above; Lot’s wife looked back “and she became a pillar of salt Genesis 19: 17,26. Whatever concerns Lot’s wife had, they were enough for her to disobey the simple order not to look back. Are there any distractions in your life keeping you away from the life God wants you to have?

Go Away From Me

Jesus warns us to keep watch Luke 21:34-36; we do not know the day or time for the rapture or His second coming. Not everyone who says they are a christian is a believer some are frauds or pretenders. When Jesus was asked, who will get into heaven? Jesus warned them, saying “Not everyone who says to Me Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name”, Jesus will say to them “I never knew you, depart from me Matthew 7:22-23. Notice these were people who had prophesied and exorcized demons using Jesus’ name. Jesus knows the hearts and minds of all men. He is not deceived, He is the Righteous Judge. Imposters will not get into the kingdom of heaven.

Citizens

When we see ourselves as belonging to God, and spiritually present in heaven, we purify ourselves. By keeping our eyes focused on who we are and things above, we are aligning our hearts and minds with the Holy Spirit. “Our citizenship is in heaven, from where also we await for our Savior, the Lord Jesus Philippians 3:20.  Believers actively keep in mind the return of our Savior “Jesus, who has delivered us from the wrath to come 1 Thessalonians 1:10. We are looking for the our blessed hope and He is looking for those “who love His appearing2 Timothy 4:8.
