New Creation Spirit Soul and Body

After the fall in the Garden, God wanted to restore His Fatherly relationship with man. First, He needed to provide a way back for us. God needed to make man whole again; spirit, soul, and body. He had to make a new man, 2 Corinthians 5:17. In His wisdom and great love and for man, He supplied a way back into a personal relationship He created us for.

Immediately after “The Fall”  God prophesied the coming of Jesus Christ “her Seed” and foretelling His victory over Satan by delivering a mortal head wound. “He shall [fatally] bruise your head,  And you shall [only] bruise His heel Genesis 3:15

The Old Man

After the fall, the soul (desires) of man without access to the spirit, followed the desires of the body (fleshly) 1 John 2:16. Humanity became like the animals walking after their 5 senses (the body) Romans 8:12,13. The soul in the non-believer is cut off from the Spirit of God.

The Plan

In His infinite wisdom, God immediately put a plan into action to redeem and restore all things back to Himself. God’s plan was to raise up a people (Hebrews) to be a lineage toward the manifestation of our Savior Jesus Christ, the perfect sacrifice Gensis 3:15.

Scattered throughout the Old Testament, you will find the genealogy of Jesus (“her seed” Genesis 3:15). In the New Testament a listing of Jesus’ human ancestors from Abraham to Jesus are found in Matthew 1:1-17 and His lineage from Adam to Jesus in Luke 3:23-38 . With God, the Jewish people actively tracked and documented the bloodline of Jesus back almost 4000 years.

Process to Restoration

We are restored(born-again) after we believe and “keep in mind ’” the crucifixion and resurrection as payment for our sins. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (The Gospel). You are “sealed with the Holy Spirit” when we put our faith in the gospel Ephesians 1:13. Holy Spirit empowers us in all things; God the Father has called us to do, 1 Corinthians 2:12-14, John 14:26, John 16:13

Jesus came to this world to restore the relationship between God and man. Through Christ He made us alive to Himself Romans 8:11, 1 Corinthians 15:45. Jesus, the light of the world, sacrificed Himself for all and gives eternal life to anyone who believes in Him John 3:16. By the grace of God, Jesus came, returning the light of God to believers John 1:4, Ephesians 5:8

Put On the New Man

It is the plan of God, through the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, to turn all men back to Himself. Most people will not receive that. He wants believers to be conformed into the image of Jesus Christ Romans 8:29, Ephesians 4:24. For us, now is the time of our regeneration by the Holy Spirit Titus 3:5. Purify yourself with the truth of His word John 17:17, Ephesians 5:26.

Spiritual renovation begins as you know and believe in Jesus. We are changed from the inside out John 8:32. It’s the process of our soul bonding with the Spirit of God; and moving away from, and putting to death the desires of the flesh Romans 8:13. Dying to the lusts and passions of our 5 senses.

Developing the New Man

Transformation takes place as we change our thinking, renew our minds with the truth of God’s word, Ephesians 4:22-24. Spiritual maturity and the life of God happens as we believe His words and submit to His regeneration and renewal, through knowledge of Him.

Shut down the old man’s authority, (your old way of thinking) “put off the old manColossians 3:9. Put on a Jesus centered mindset, and wear your new identity as children of God. Reading, hearing, and meditating on the word of God is nourishing the spirit of God in us Romans 8:5. We are educating and training our soul to be mindful and walk after the Spirit of God and not the flesh.

Some of you have heard me say “life is spiritual”. Jesus is the Word, His words are spirit, and the spirit is life John 6:63. The word of God restores and rejuvenates our personal relationship with Him as children of light as He is Light.

Jesus circumcised our hearts(soul) from obedience to the flesh and turned the soul toward the Spirit of God. Therby returning the soul to spirit. Making our spirit alive to God, as it was in the Garden of Eden. Restoring the relationship that God intended in the beginning, breaking the soul and flesh bond, Colossians 2:11-12. We are a new creation, a new spirit man.
